Chef Mark Elliott is the chef and owner of Elliott’s on Linden in Pinehurst and a native Briton. While he is an American citizen and longtime resident of the Sandhills, Mark is proud to present the area with contemporized versions of the classics that are his heritage. As the owner of a restaurant group now comprised of EOL, The Sly Fox, and Rue 32, Cheffy looks forward to his continued presence in Pinehurst and his appearance on the vibrant Downtown Southern Pines scene.
Executive Chef Donnie Wicker has been a member of The Sly Fox team since December of 2010 and has worked with Mark Elliott periodically since 1998. Donnie’s skillful leadership of his brigade, extensive research of both classic and neo-gastropub fare (particularly curries!), and his culinary execution, constant professionalism, and attention to detail make him a cornerstone of the success of The Sly Fox.
General Manager Andy Heisinger has been working with Chef Elliott since January of 2009. He and Elliott worked together on almost every detail of the Fox and its operation prior to its inception. Andy continues to collaborate with Mark and Donnie to continually present a truly top-notch gastropub. His most important and chief role at the pub is ensuring that all guests at The Sly Fox thoroughly enjoy all aspects of their visits. At the pub, Andy is most likely to be found in the dining room talking with guests about everything from their golf swings to the best new beer on tap.
